Vivian Zhang
Principal
Vivian is the founding Principal of Domain Legal and has been a leader in the New Zealand legal market for over a decade. She has both a thorough knowledge of New Zealand law and a skilled adeptness at formulating legal strategy. She has a deep passion for providing legal services of the highest quality that can actually make a difference to her clients – whether that be risk protection, pursuit of a grievance, business streamlining or simply having an expert advocate promoting their best interests. She focuses on making legal services understandable and accessible to people from a range of backgrounds.

Vivian excels in all practice areas offered by Domain Legal. She has a particular interest in complex legal matters, including IPT and ministerial appeals, large scale property developments, resolving commercial disputes, entity structuring and many other cases that require innovation and skill.

Vivian also has a particular focus on supporting corporate and foreign investment activities. She does so by providing intelligent and skilled commercial advice and representation, building extensive corporate networks, dealing with various high value transactions and due diligence projects and actively consulting on evolving New Zealand laws, regulations and policies.

Vivian is a prominent member of the legal profession and is an active participant in various community-focused initiatives. For several years Vivian has provided regular news appearances on TV and radio to discuss common legal issues and legislative developments. She is also a regular speaker at legal events, including both corporate events and community focused events, actively promoting the legal profession and access to justice by sharing her legal knowledge. Vivian has previously been a member of ADLS committees, using her knowledge and reputation to influence positive change in the legal profession.
